That's good to hear. Sucks to be locked out and not be able to get on the move again. Don't know why so many seem to be resistant to calling RA. They'll get to you and get you open/jumped/on your way.

The service call is free for the life of the vehicle, no matter who owns it. There are a few things they'll do at no charge, and I believe opening and jumping your car is one. I had one come to me on a Sunday when my '93 400E wouldn't start. He tested battery, and attempted a jump, but we decided the starter was the likely fault(I had been having a few symptoms at the time, but this was the crowning event). Called a tow truck to take the car to a local indie shop, and the RA guy actually gave me a ride home(about 5 miles from the car). Have also had a battery replaced in our old '01 ML. Paid for the battery, but the call and the labor was free. He even reset all the windows, sunroof, and various sensors. All in all, I've had very good experince with them. I'm sure they must have a list of free services somewhere, or you could call them.

same **** happened to me this weekend, when my batt died, and I had to call roadside assistance. He ended up jumping the car from the passenger side floor under the dash. A big power wire that is junctioned through to the firewall was there. Was nice to hear that I get free jumps for the life of the vehicle!! Dude turned out to be a really cool MB tech that will be doing my service B package on the side coming up here real soon
