Cat Converter Extended Warranty from MB!
Guys,
I am sure some of you had replaced your cat converters with 80k mi/8yr warranty. I have found something interesting and called MBUSA this morning to confirm. Attached, you will find the letter of extending the cat converter warranty on S430, S500, CL500 to 10yr unlimited mileage coming from General Manager of MBUSA. I have driverside cat rattling and wanted to replace, but dealer told me I am SOL since I am over the limit of 300miles. So, I am waiting the confirmation from MBUSA this morning and if this is a fact on extended warranty on cat conv, you will have leverage to communicate with your dealer on replacement.

Well, did get a call back from MBUSA and it is ONLY affected with certain VIN#. It might be a worthwhile to call MBUSA and have them check on your VIN to see if you qualify.
I guess I am SOL..... Anyone know good Exhaust place in IL to replace the cats?
