2004 S600 sport
hi guys,
i currently have a 2002 S55 w/ 105k miles and it's been great. however, there's always a little itch for the S600 V12TT. curious what you guys think of this, and how much you'd pay. 04 S600 sport 70k miles asking $24k.

$24k is a decent price for an '04 considering the miles.
I'm not sure I could live with light wood though!! With the pics being so poor it is hard to form much of an opinion.
As always get a PPI, and from a Benz dealer in this case.

I just paid $28k for my CL600 w/ 28k miles so I think $24k is a bit high. I would say more like $22k for something with that high of mileage. Plus, my car had $8k Lorinser wheels, K40, loaded with options.

If there is one thing I have learned about selling cars, extra aftermarket options dont help get more money on the used block. Might get it sold quicker but rarely gets more money. Not a bad price for the CL though. My dream garage has will have my S, a CL 01-06 and a w140 LWB. $24,000 is not bad and $22,000 would be even sweeter. I dont think the dealer will sell it lower than that though(the 24). Plus, at that price, if thats what he wants its still not a bad deal because you best believe, even in this bad economy, someone will buy it quick for that price.

I have never driven the S55 but I think the S600 is a whole different car because of the engine and the being equipped with all the features.
I love my 600 and would only go for another V12TT. Try to find one with the Drive Dynamic Seats (really nice feature I love). Also the ABC mode is very impressive. I prefer the W220 over the W221.

LOL people getting cars for practically nothing...in NY the 600's are still in the low 30's.

haven't gone to see it yet, but hearing the VMI is 2 pages which is not too bad for the S600. i am surprised to find the S600 not having the keyless start/stop for 2004 model yr...you guys find that strange?

My 2004 doesn't have it, and its pretty well optioned with one of the options being the $10K Designo Edition. It also has the extra cost trunk closer, which is part of the Keyless Go option, so not sure why for not much more it wasn't ordered with Keyless Go. I see more non-sport without it. I think maybe it was just a feature not everyone understood or maybe feared being less secure. I had heard from a MB service advisor that people always ask him if they can replace the OVERSIZED Keyless Go Card of the 02-04's that doesn't fit in ones wallet, for the smaller less obtrusive ones.

Anyone know how much this costs? I was looking for the Keyless Go for the precise reason that I can slide it in my wallet...

I have an 05 S600 with keyless go. Mine would defintely not fit in my wallet. How thin is the smaller less obtrusive one? As thin as a tic tac box?

i don't know what the smaller one looks like, but our keyless start/stop on our R500 is awesome...just the regular key. i think it'll be hard to get any new cars w/o that feature going fwd.

Maybe, if you upgrade to the new "chrome" key it replaces the Key Card as well (not sure, just something to look into).

I asked my service advisor (car is getting serviced). He said it was ONLY available in 2003. He said Mercedes stopped it since owners were sitting on their wallets and breaking them. He knows alot about the 600 since he owns a 2003.
