Screws along sill underneath car

Hi all

I was looking over my car at the weekend for one thing or another, and noticed underneath the car along the sills on both sides, there are a series of screws and possible plastic shaped piece every 6 inches or so.

My query is, there are two missing on my drivers side (UK), but these are in place on the passenger side. I thought this could be a water ingress and so have taped over them with strong adhesive black tape.

Does anyone know what these are for and why I might be missing two? I don't believe they are drain holes.

Does anyone have an understanding of the rubber drain plugs located within the car in various places. How many are there are where are they located?

Thanks in advance

Anyone got any ideas on the rubber drain plug located within the bottom of the car (like the 2 I have found under the rear seat where the electronics are).

How many more are there and where are they?

Thanks.
