Well I'm joking... my friend let me borrow his covers, and they look awesome!

I'm thinking of buying a set and removing the AMG logos from the metal part of the cover.

So say you did perform the transplant... You have the brakes, and the engine, you don't have the seats, and the instrument cluster, but what about the suspension? It's ABC, but not "AMG-Calibrated"... Could you call it an S65? Just wondering.

Nick if you are serious about the cluster I am game... I'm in talks with MBenzNL about a European cluster... it just says "V12 Biturbo" and not AMG under the tachometer and an AMG logo under the speedometer, making it more of an AMG Cluster rather than a AMG V12 Biturbo engine... plus I think the european version looks cooler:

Here is the US Spec S65 cluster:

Yes... that's the cool part about it. You can use the digital speedometer in MPH on the info screen.

I really want to replace my tail lights with the first generation lights, tint the white stripes and pull the S600 badge off the back... but I'm afraid I might take some heat.

A Mercedes obviously!
I guessed you'd just swapped the engine covers but were glad you owned up to it being temporary because I thought the anti-poser had defected

Well temporary just to get a visual on it... I love the fact that the 65 covers are the same size/layout as the regular cover, so fit is OEM.

Like I said, if I decide to buy these covers I will delete the ///AMG badges and the signed engine plate, and I was thinking of painting the gray part of the cover gloss black.

The only thing is, the covers are not cheap. The front CF part is about $1600 and the back metal cover is $1300...

I was thinking of just painting the bow red like this:
