Funny noises---@#$%

Has anyone experienced a "Creaking sound" or a "Rusty hinge" sound coming from the front suspension and steering rack??

Last weekend I had my car on a lift 4 times in one day....and well 2 days later, I started to hear a creaking sound when I turned the wheels left, and right, as if it was rusted for years and Im driving it for the first time. Then next day, when I drove over man holes on the street i noticed that I have a similar sound coming from the suspension.
What gives?#$%#
It sounds as if I had a Horse-n-Carriage suspension....embarrassing...never had this problem before.

Also have this problem! Only happens after a long trip or hour or so use. Just get the creaking noise from the steering, no other effect.

Just assumed the steering rack or power steering unit getting hot & bothered and maybe worn. Disappears next morning.

your ball joint boots need grease. I haven't inspected them to see if it's your standard grease fitting nipple, but if so you can do it yourself or a jiffy lube type place can lube them up.

It'll be back. these part come sealed and do not require grease. If the grease is gone, the chances are the part is worn, adn will ned to be replaced sooner or later.. But glad you got rid of the noise..
