Can this chip/crack be repaired?

what do you think, guys?

i picked up this nice chip and i have a feeling i'll need to replace the windshield.

or do i? any remedies for this?

i know glass shops will say once the chip expands into a crack, then it is no longer repairable.

If your auto insurance will not pay for the repair, DON'T go to the dealer for repair. My dealer wanted $1,900 for a back glass, and a couple of telephone calls to glass places found a Pilkington (OEM manufacturer) replacement for $715 installed. What you don't get for the price difference is the MB "bug" on the glass label.

Yeah, no way to fix it. You need to have the windsheild replaced. Try calling Safelite to see if your insurance covers it.
