Steering control lights

So tonight all my steering control lights went out all the other buttons on the dash still light but the steering wheels wont, checked all the fuses but nothing, the volume and selection still work but no lights anyone?

Ouch that's odd.. they should not "burn out" since they are LED that light them up, and you say they work, and they would not be on a separate fuse.. the module itself is probably bad.

Both sides are a single unit, connected in the middle.

The part numbers are:

A220-821-53-51-7241 (GREY)
A220-821-53-51-7218 (BLACK)

It should be around $230.00 for the set.

thanks for the input, i swapped out the brains of the buttons with another steering wheels i have and still no luck, and i know that they lit up before i put the amg wheel on so go figure

Are you saying the lights have been inop since you replaced the stock wheel with an AMG wheel? That would be an important bit of information you neglected to mention, so I suspect that's not the case?

Whoover, I'm thinking the wiring harness is damaged? Got pinched/snipped during the wheel removal?

no the everything worked fine till yesterday and i had the amg wheel on for atleast 6 months

well i think its the piece with the airbag with all the computer like boards behind it cause today the buttons randomly stopped working but the steering wheel still moves up and down, happened a day ago but it came back weird

update it was the clockspring replaced it and now all is good
