I bought the Bosch part and replaced it. Blowing like it's supposed to but, the day before I changed it out. The red light on my Ac button came on and won't go off. I was told by the dealer that it's in Failsafe mode. Most likely because the Refrigerant is too low. I had my friends shop recover and replace the refrigerant to the proper level and it still did not go off. i don't want to take it to the shop and have them charge me a ****load of $$$ just to reset the fault code if that's all it needs. Do you know if it's probably something else or how to reset it so it will engage and start cooloing my car down. It's hotazzhell out here.

There have been a few posts concerning the fail safe mode of A/C after a low coolant condition, but I do not have them bookmarked. A search on "low coolant" may get them for you. As I recall, however, this mode must be reset by the dealer or an independent trained in Mercedes systems. It is not something the owner can reset.
