Video into 99-02 4:3 comand screen

Hi guys,

I have searched over and over and i may be blind, but i cannot see a definitive answer to this question.

How may I feed video into my old style 4:3 comand system? With the screen being so small a simple composite video input type interface would suffice, obviously along with a pair of audio connections.

In case it makes any odds, the car in question is a UK RHD car;

I have seen this: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/MULTIMEDIA-INT...3%3A1|294%3A50

This appears to offer what i am after, but will it really work? If so, where is it likely to need connecting to physically within the car, and how will i access the video function, via the "TV" button which currently simply states "no tv tuner"?

Thanks & Best regards,

Jezza

Just to note, as posted on another forum where we worked it out, got it working today If anyone else is stuck on this install please just ask, as i know how frustrating it was finding information about it - doesnt help that you dont get instructions with the unit!

I am also going to have words with the ebay seller, as the very basic bit of paper listing what the cables do listed the C-Bus ones the wrong way round, the low is actually high and the high low, which has cost me dearly in labour time and frustration. Bloody ebay

I took a lot of time to make sure that i shielded the cables well with some metallic shielding, after reports of noise. In the end i got scared about splicing into the satnav cables, so i just stripped off a fair bit of sheathing off of the media box's cbus cables and wedged them into the back of the C2 17&18 connections, some electrical tape to secure the cables and it seems solid enough. Works very well at all speeds. My only slight gripe is that the audio is at a lower level than the standard functions (Radio, CDC, Tape, Telephone), so switching between these results in having to adjust it.
