It may not be better than any of the other devices that transmit via FM.

That was my first thought too, but it got some good reviews on the blackberry site plus you can use it to talk on the phone over the car speakers. I may try it out. I get tired of carrying my blackberry and iPod. I want to just use my blackberry as a media player

I've got one, yes you can connect it to your car. You can send and recieve calls but you are not going to get good music quality.

Seems pointless to me, you would have to retune your radio every time you get a call.

Music wise, plug your ipod into the comand via an AV input and select "TV" on your dash...

Oh, forgive me. What do you lot have in place of the "TV" button on the comand 2.5 situated next to the "Tape" button?

Has anyone fitted the Euro Command in their U.S car? My Indy mechanic mentioned he had a guy that brought them from Germany and could do it, but I never asked how much, and since he didn't say I assumed it was expensive

Yes, it has been done; Steve Krabbenborg, Steve@MBENZNL.com is the guy who makes periodic trips to the U.S. to install them. His sister, Wanda (BigSis) has also made numerous posts about the retrofit. His website is www.MBENZNL.nl. There are tradeoffs in making the change - a search on "Euro COMAND" and on the names will get you a ton of information. You may also get additional good information at www.mercupgrades.com
