Dissatisfied with EBC Redstuff pads
So about 2 weeks ago, i installed new brake pads front and rear. The front got akebono euro ceramic pads, and the rears got EBC redstuff (akebono does not have a pad for the rear of an s500 4matic).
Since that time, I've put about 200 miles on the car, and the front wheels are absolutely clean, while the rears have a significant amount of dust. Not quite as bad as the stock pads, but not even close to as nice as the front.
The pads are clearly still bedding and the ebc pads have this break-in coating, so that may be the reason for the seemingly high level of dust, but if this keeps up, I will not be impressed by this pad.
So, for anyone that runs these things, does the dust level decrease after a few hundred miles?
Thanks.

Just as you suspected man. The bed-in coating is what's giving you the dust. I have EBC reds front and rear and the first few hundred miles had normal dusting. Now my wheels stay pretty clean. Overall, I'm content with EBC reds. On the next go round, I intend to try Akebonos.

Yes, just as you thought and was posted above, this is the break in coating. Heck I raced on EBC redstuff, and my fronts still looked nice and clean. Give them some time as they well grow on you in a VERY positive way my friend.
See yeah
PS: I now use Redstuff on ALL my cars, C32, 300 SRT, Fusion, and soon the S600
