Aftermarket headlamps with HID's.

OK....I know theres tons of topics on here about aftermarket 03-06 headlamps and aftermarket HIDs. So here it is, I purchased a used set from benz5656 so that I can see whats all the fuss about "the headlamps wont work with oem xenon cars" well I installed a cheap HID kit I had on the headlamps and then installed the headlamps on the car then BAM!! everythings works just fine. No flicker, no codes, no problems at all except I had to adjust the beam pattern alittle and the beam isnt as sharp as oem projectors but good enough. Also at night the vision is a lot better then my non projector oem xenons.

That's great to hear. A lot of people dont' know a wiring harness from a dip stick, so for them it would be a daunting task to do what you did. They'll juggle 10 stock portfolios or rewire your heart, but when it comes to their cars, all they know is that you turn the key and the car goes.

I'm currently installing a hand made custom tri xenon headlight set in my S600. It's pretty straight forward, but it should be unique.

Theres a white(if u have the aftermarket) knob with a phillips head on top. Just find a dark area like a garage and keep turning it until it starts moving down. After that just get like 50 ft in front of the car and get eye level with the hood of the car. If the light is too bright then keep turning it down. The light pattern should only be bright if your at eye level with the projectors. Best time to do it is at night.
