Still confused and upset I don't own an S600 yet

For over 18 months I've been on the side line about an S600, when I talk to my mechanic for S500 body-140 he tells me to stay away, "those cars are a headache", in fact he refuses to work on 12 cylinder cars, period.
Then I come here and all S600 owners love their cars.
Looking at one... 2004 black/black 48,000K which can be had for around $27,000. Clean as a whistle, brand new tires and brakes.
The only set back is that all error messages on dash bd are in Spanish.

Question does anyone with an S600 have extended warrantee, and how much is the cost for 3 years? (ball park)

Tough to get an extended warranty on an S600.. I would advise to try and find a CPO'd one at Mercedes-Benz and get the extended Starmark warranty.

PS: You're on the money about people in this neck of the woods loving their W220 S600s.. I'm one of them.

The 600 has been my favorite car I have ever owned, I love my W220 more than my dads S550. The power delivery is unbelievable... I have had a few passengers describe it sounding and feeling like a plane. I love how smooth the V12TT feels on the road. I don't think there are any cars that can match the sophistication, class, fun as the Benz V12TT. I have driven a maybach and the S600 and both felt very similar to me. The maybachs suspension was phenomenal but I felt very shy being harsh and driving agressively on it.

Warranty is nice and really helpful if some crazy part breaks down otherwise the car is very solid and well built. I love the car soo much that I am planning on trading my BMW 750il for another one, although that new BMW V12TT sounds tempting if only they improve craftsmanship... they just don't make em like they used to.

Nothing better in an w220 body than an V12. You can get an extended warranty, but it will cost you $$$.

Very well put! (Well I have a w221 not w220 but pretty much the same)

No kidding I drove a 220 S600 at a training event and that car was amazing. So fast and quiet and felt like there wasn't even ground under me.

Okay, so quit being confussed and delaying and just BUY one already. I did

So far it has been my favorite car that I have ever owned, and everytime I jump in her, she never ceases to put a big on my face.

You can buy a 03-05 for about 25-35K from the dealer and get the CPO warrenty. Little things, thank God none yet, can add up VERY fast.

There truely is NO reason to wait ANY longer my friend, as they are DIRT cheap right NOW

SO BUY IT ALREADY DAMM IT

see yeah

PS: Make sure you have keyless go and dynamic seats.

Distronic isn't worth waiting for IMHO, even though I have it

I love my dynamic seats! Keyless go is nice but you have to hit directly on the button.

"The 600 seperates the men from the boys." The car really feels much different than the V8.

I picked up a 2005 s600 last year and i absolutely love it. If you buy the extended warranty right before the factory ends it's cheaper. I just paid $4000 for a 4year 48,xxx after market warranty from my local stealer.
