You've never seen a Vanguard S-Class before I take it. We had two on the dealer lot when I worked for M-B back in 2002 with a MSRP of $185k. The new version on the 211 E Class and 221 S class is call the "guard" now.

THEY will NEVER get that much for that 2001 Guard IMHO.

Two months ago a silver 2002 S500 GUARD all options: pwr rear windows, self sealing gas tank etc. in Tenn. sold on ebay for $30,000 (best offer) asking $40,000, and it only have 40,000 miles

Very interesting car.. I always though that these Guard S-Class cars must be absolutely SILENT inside the car. Would love to get a ride in the back of one, must feel very safe.

On another hand that is a very rare car in fantastic condition inside and out.

Did you guys notice the sunroof delete?

 

If you guys check the datacard on the VIN of the car it includes a bunch of special options.

I have had also checked the data card. :-)
B4 amoring is only the starter kit, since it seems mainly to protect the cabin from the side with light amory.
I had the chance to see our chancelors car with B7 amor, that was the version for adults.
All glas a "little" thicker (1,5-2"), and the cabin protected from all sides.
(Due to amory most interior has slightly different measures)

Unfortunately the driver didnt let disassemble the cars, but at least a peek into it was very interresting.
