Found a good deal on an S430, AC regulator/motor Question
There's an 2003 S430 sport for sale at 12K. It's got 88K miles on it. I have not seen the car in person yet. The owner says that he took it to the MB dealer and that the said that the AC regulator and motor needed to be replaced and that it would cost $1500. I'm just wondering if anyone has done this themselves or has gotten an independent shop to do it. If so, what was the cost for the labor and/or parts.

If he means the blower motor and its regulator, I have seen some estimates for dealer repair as low as $1200. See http://www.benzworld.org/forums/w220...-location.html. However, some have tackled the job as a DIY at significantly lower cost. Just be sure you order the part for your car - the part numbers many differ from those shown on the links, but the cost should be in line.
