Installed New Lower Front Control Arms

Hello,

I finally installed lower front control arms. I purchased them from Deutsche Parts on Ebay.

Here is what I got:

The Benefits I felt right away was Tighter steering, Much Smoother Ride, Potholes Less Noticeable, More Stable Braking. The car drove how its supposed to drive

It feels like im in a hoovercraft floating 2 feet above the ground

Very Happy!

You know Ive replaced mine when Ive noticed wear on the rubber components of the control arms. Since the dampers were worn out, they would make sound over bumps. Don't about replacement schedule, but you can always check on condition of yours by simple observation and feel. Look at the rubber components see if they're worn. Also, while the car is raised, tilt each wheel left and right, up and down. If you notice movement, than some suspension components need to be replaced. Also check tie rods, they tend to wear out by 100k, depending on driving conditions of course.

hey im looking to replace both of these on my car very soon since my car is making a lot of noise mainly due to the bushing being all worn. It started first on the drivers side and now doing it on the passenger side as well.

How hard was the DIY?

Avoid this garbage from Hambrug Technic! I went to alignment shop and both of the bushings are torn and I had these only for a few months. Lesson Learned only buy OEM! and avoid Ebay Junk

Just got the whole package deal from deutsche parts from ebay for $719 (control arms, ball joints and tie rods.) My Indy called me and told me that the ball joints and both inner and outer tie rods didnt even fit my car. Had to get OEM, since the car was in the shop and there was no time for exchange. DP let me send those parts back. I had to pay $26 for postage and after waiting for weeks got only $89 back, while the OEM was $340.
