S55 DVD Watching
Just picked up a 2006 S55 i noticed when i press eject on the nav unit the screen slides up and it has dvd and dolby 5.1 logos on the screen.
i went to put a dvd in the car and the dvd will play the audio but no picture, thats with the car in park.
any ideas of how to watch the visual on the screen? is there another module needed?

Yes, you can replace your command unit with a european command unit. Last I heard around $1,500.00, there is no way the unit in your car now will play video. Don't believe the people who tell you to press buttons on your current unit to get video to appear. They are laughing at you when you do it. I use my DVD to listen to DVD's that are concerts, DVD's sound better than CD's. You can also play DVD-A's but not SACD's.

i have a local tech who has the star diagnostics here in canada.
you could always purchase a euro command and get someone to do it!
i'm sure i could talk to the tech to see whether or not he is willing to help you do it if you'd like!
but most likely you'll have to pay for shipping!
