W220 ignition 'on' but won't turn over
Hi all
Hopefully someone can help. My 2000 S320 seems to have a fault. I insert the key and the key turn to the ignition 'on' position, however when you go to start the car (turn clockwise further) the starter motor does not crank the engine, NOTHING HAPPENS!!!!
After waiting or taking the key out and turning tit around, and trying different keys and frantically cleaning the tips of the keys and then re inserting them the car magically turns and starts as normal. Highly embarrassing as I've been caught in fore courts on a couple of occasions now. I suspect it has nothing to do with the keys??
ANY SUGGESTIONS?
