What Is The DVD For In The 2005 W220 S500 For ?? If You The Pass Can't Watch A Movie Just Listen To Sound .
Why Cant you see a movie ??

Yes for the sound which really stinks, guess the lawyers figured we couldn't text and watch movies without killing others. The European model even has a TV tuner.

Personally, I think the sound tracks from music DVDs are great. Rolling Stones' "Steel Wheels" album sounds terrific.
It also plays mp3s that you can write to DVD; my whole music library is on 2 DVDs. However, updating DVDs is a pain, and I mostly use my iPod (where I avoid mp3 and use AIFF or Apple Lossless). Sounds better than any mp3.
The Euro COMANDs have provision to add a TV tuner, but do not come standard with them.
It also plays mp3s that you can write to DVD; my whole music library is on 2 DVDs. However, updating DVDs is a pain, and I mostly use my iPod (where I avoid mp3 and use AIFF or Apple Lossless). Sounds better than any mp3.

Folks, i have purchased s500 2004 model, and I do not know if it can support DVD or just CD, and whether it can support mp3, and how else can i play mp3 on it, i really appreciate your feed back.
