after disconnecting battery to clean the maf and change filters my smartkey no longer locks or unlocks my car.

i bought new batteries for $20 at stealership thning that was the prob but it didnt soldve the problem.


DO i have to reconfigure key somehow?

any help would be great cause it real annoying using the valet key to lock and unlock

 

Same thing happened to my car too... took the car to the dealership... they couldnt figure it out cause it started working by itself..

 

..........and ya, where did u get the car battery from. if the indicator light on the smart key flashes when u press the bottons the nothing is wrong wit the key. it could be the car battery. even the little difference in battery voltage can cause different problems. so please check u'r battery.... but if u gat the battery from the stealership then take it back to them, be little mad, ask for the manager, yell at him, u'r rest of the problem will be on the house....

 

have you put the key back in the ignition yet?

Once you do that, it should work fine.

 

I just reset the battery and keys now works

 

Smart key- Ignition no problem but doors and trunk will not open all the time. HELP!
This is a brand new smart key.
