S500 Silver, Range Rover HSE Black
TruDawg
Hi Tru,
RR is just a Rover. Their rep is pretty much true. Either you have a ton of money for someone else to keep it running, or a lot of time to figure it out yourself. Fortunately, I found the repairs/replacement pretty basic and with the help of a great forum (rangerovers.net) I had guys all over the globe willing to share best practices.
I didn't rebuild it/restore it for fun. Stuff breaks down on them when they hit about 8 yrs old and if you don't tackle each thing as it hits, it just multiplies. I'm good now for about 10 more years from bumper to bumper. The most telling saying about Rovers is: if it ain't leakin, it ain't runnin. They seriously will NOT stop leaking fluid.
Now having been thru what I have with the Rover, my S500 is childs' play. Everything is so easy to source and replace (except electrical is outta my league).

I know this is W220 land but alot of you have some really awesome rides listed in your sigs. Post pics of your other rides and share with the class.
I'll start
Here's a pic of my 1964 Impala I've had for over 10 years. Complete frame up build. It's a lowrider so I reinforced/boxed the entire frame
