drilled rotor holes filled

My 2000 S500 with factory rotors and pads has the holes in the rotors full of something that looks like dirt. But I never drive on dirt roads or in mud. Has anyone else had this occur and what is it, accumulated brake dust or rotor dust or something?

yes, that is brake dust.

hit it with a hose at fairly high pressure and it will be gone.

Don't worry, and save the work, even if you get out the brake pad's dust it'll come back in no time
