00 S500 & 2008 E350 Wagon

Creaky front end

A while ago, my car started making this creaking sound, that seems to be coming from the front suspension. If you turn off the radio, and open the windows when driving, you can clearly hear the sound. It some times makes the sound eve when I get in, and I am not that big a person.

Any hints or insight?

I put the car on a lift and put WD40 everywhere I thought it was, it stopped for about half a day and came back!!

Most likely the ball joint boots have lost their grease. Its fairly common. I had the same problem and replaced the ball joints. I think it was around 300 for both sides and about $75 labor
