Need advise on the body kit for S65 W220
I'm restoring salvaged 2006 S65. Car drove over something and has mostly cosmetic damagers - missing whole front bamper, scratches and small dent on the driver side fender and cracked side skirt. I figured it might be cheaper to buy whole aftermarket body kit then to get AMG bumper/fender/skirt or even if its a bit more $$ I could gett a look I personaly want. I do not want a fiberglass kit on the car - I'm looking for a true good quality kit. ![Smilie](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
AMG set of parts would run around $3800 - I'm willing too go up to $4500-5000 for a realy nice looking kit.
Belive it or not I really liked a look of Duraflex kit but from what I understood their quality is bad

I tend to like a front end with more presence giving car a bit more agressive look especialy considering what we will be puting VRP 825 package on it and some other secret mods to produce some serios power to back it up. I think we will have a 10 second sedan here
)))))))))))
Always been a big fan of the presense W140 commanded so defenetly like a bulky look on the front but nothing too carzy
I don't have an isuee paying for preformance but tend to be tight with my $$$ for looks
))))))))))))))))))
We will also put Rentech Lowering module on it.

I'm not looking for an knock off - looking for a nice looking kit wich is well made and ca be procured in $4500 range. Wald kits seem to fit the bill but I read what they are fiberglass made - so I'm still looking. As far as a stock AMG bumper/skirt - might have to go with them but I think what AMG front end is too light - does not have a bulk/presence of W140 series or new W221. I personaly never liked W220 styling and getting this S65 to fit a particular need - big highway cruzer with enough power. If I could afford W221 S65 I would be on it in the heartbeat.
If a car had a bumper/lower grills/skirt I would hav left it stock - I'm not to big on apperances anyway but since it need to be replaced I might as well make it look a bit nicer. Just not willing to compromise a quality of the car.
As far as LET tuning goes - shure the got some greate results but their results are not better then VRP and I have a personal very good experiences with Vadim since my SHO days as well as my E55 build. VRP 825 might be a bit more $$$ but some of the things I happend to know about a package make me feel what I might personaly get a bit better result from Vadims tune. Plus car is in LA right now and Vadim will be installing package and doing on the dyno tuning right there. And I have some ideas about what I want out of package which he is willing to do. Again - while I do not have a personal experience with LET from feedback on this board I could see what their products are first grade and you can't go wrong with ever package.

The 220 is about grace, understatement, and sophistication, I think it being the first of M-B's smoother/rounder styling, it was the least edgy of all the cars they released in the last decade, but if you want to bring the cars look to life, you have to enhance that aspect.
