need help !!!!!! weird problem

i have a 2000 s500 and whenever i push the pedal all the way down to the floor and push the little thing under the pedal the car doesnt move. even if i push the pedal down it wont move, the rpms dont even shoot up or anything. does anyone have any idea wats going on?

yea srry for the lack of better wording but the kick down switch as he said, thanks for the help, im gonna try the accelerator pedel module

2000 CL500 1992 300SE
Accelerator pedal sensor or pedal value sensor and is found on the side of the gas pedal lever.

If that doesn't work try the electronic accelerator actuator, it is found with the MAF sensor removed. If that isn't it, try changing the EGR valve.
