hood struts help
hey guys,
im in a need of some hood struts for the s500, a 2000 model.
i was wondering, is this a generic part that can be bought at local parts store, or do i need year specific benz only fitting part?
i need both of them, not sure how they both are shot
but that hood almost knocked me out the 1st time i lifted it and it wouldnt stay up haha.

as long as the length fits and the force, to keep the hood up, no problem to use a non MB part. Since the hood is made of aluminum, the weight is not a real issue at all.
