Replacement for air suspension
Has anyone heard anything about Strutmasters' non-air replacemet suspension for w220's? They guarantee it will ride as well as the stock air system, but I can't find any reviews. Thanks.

A search on this forum or on BenzWorld should get you reviews of Strutmasters. Frankly, I was not impressed with what I read about the product, and the idea of replacing my air suspension with springs is not enticing. The Airmatic (or ABC if you have it) is responsible for the handling, ride, and feel of the S-Class.
Check the Arnott Airmatic direct replacements. Manufactured with a heavier air bag than OE, the new ones are half the price of OE ($800 vs $1600) and have a lifetime warranty. Remanufactured Arnotts are around $400, and they are now also offering struts for the 4Matics. http://www.benzworld.org/forums/arnott-inc/. You'll keep the great ride and feel of your suspension.
Since responding to your email a little earlier, I have come across one writeup on springs, but there are others that deal more with the quality concerns - still, https://mbworld.org/forums/s-class-w...ng-errors.html is instructive.
