Are they worth it? I do my own work, rarely ever see a dealer.

But are the S430's, S500's or S600's worth considering for a good daily driver?

The affordability of these cars brings them into the picture, a W221 is getting up there in costs still.

What to look for? What to avoid? What are the common problems? And what can be fixed by owner vs must be done by dealer?

Thanks!

I was riding in a 2002 S500 last week at my inde. My shop says the 00-03 are the most issues. A 2006 S350 can be had for the mid $20,000 pirce range. My neighbor also has a 2000 S430 it has 150,000 miles. He says it is not much trouble at all. The W221 are still up there. They will drop very soon I think

What are the S350's like compared to the S500 in power? I have only driven the S500 we had. It was awesome. Felt a lot stronger than 300 hp. But it WAS a proto, maybe it was more power....
