Burn CD - 2004 COMAND system
Have become the proud owner of an '04 S600 today and put all my CDs, some of which are burned through iTunes, into the changer. The name of the CD showed up on the screen but they just didn't play, the timer remained at zero. When it showed the listing of the 6 discs in the magazine it read 'Burn CD'.
Do I need to burn them as mp3s from now on?
Thanks!

Thought I'd give this a bump...
What software and CD brands do you guys use for burning and how do you burn them? The COMAND seems to allow mp3 CDs (even says it on the screen!) but when I tried burning a CD worth of mp3s it didn't work.
Am trying to figure out what I'm doing wrong.
Thanks!

Maybe I just need to try doing a 'drag and drop' burn through the CD/DVD writing drive in My Computer.

1-Creating folders on the cd and copying the files there
2-Burn the cd as data cd (not mixed or music mode)
I am not an expert at this but this is what I recall from reading other topics. I'm sure someone more knowledgeable will be able to offer better assistance.

Odd, I've always had issues playing burned cd's in any vehicle that i used outside of the US.
That being said, remember that you have a cap of 99 files and folder total n order for comand to play your mp3cd. It doesn;t matter how they were burned. Although I prefer to use toast and put my songs in folders by artists name. and album etc...
You can burn a playlist from I-tunes also just keep in mind the file limitation.
On a better note, your 04 will also play Mp3 DVD from the comand unit itself. You can store up tp 999 files and folders combined to give you 4gb worth of music. I've been sing this method instead of getting an IPOD kit.

Some good suggestions that I haven't attempted yet!
I'm keen to give the mp3 DVD thing a go since I listen to a lot of 2hr/3hr mixes that are mostly mp3s.
I have been meaning to step up to a proper iPod integrated kit like the Dension Gateway unit Skylaw has done the write up on but haven't got round to it yet.
