s500 2002
Howling sound
Hello all, I have a 02 s500. When I'm drive about 20-30 mph I hear a howling sound coming from the motor. Does anyone have a clue what it may be? Thanks

Yes I do, please don't tell me it may be a problem with the ABC system. That system already set me back.

Sounds like you may need a new Pulsation Dampner/Accumulator. Less than $200 part and 1 hr labour at the dealer or 15-20 min DIY.

exactly what I was thinking.. Doesnt take long to swap it out, but if you haven't had the fluid flushed in the system, I would also recommend doing that while you are in there.. Will also help ensure you get a proper bleed of the system also.
