been a while since i have seen an amp draw on one of these cars.. Could be a couple different things, but the most common was the Command headunit (radio) causing the draw and killing the battery pretty quick like you are describing. Best thing to do is find some place local and have the draw issue checked out or do it yourself if you know how.. May take some time if you are checking it yourself, but if you have the right tools anything is possible..

My father had the same problem you describe on his '00 W220 and later found out that was the problem.

Racin fool is right - battery drain can come from a number of malfunctions - CAN Bus malfunctions, a bad SAM unit, a door control module (See https://mbworld.org/forums/s-class-w...g-one-out.html) and even an IR sensor (see https://mbworld.org/forums/audio-ele...ml#post3779327). http://www.benzworld.org/forums/gene...ery-drain.html lists even more.

You installed a new battery, so this one likely does not apply, but I include it for others - http://www.benzworld.org/forums/w220...ery-drain.html

One way to test it is to hook an ammeter up to the battery, with the ignition off; the drain should show. Then pull fuses until the drain decreases significantly. There will always be some drain, but it should be small. You'd be looking for a large decrease in the drain.
