floor the accelerator but the car barely revs up??

I was looking at a 2002 s430 for sale really cheap. There are a couple of problems with it...the airmatic is shot and the car is slammed on all 4 wheels (usually I just see these Airmatics slammed in front..is there a chance this is an ABC hydraulic suspension car since its slammed on all fours??)

Also when you press the accelerator, hardly anything happens..you can floor it and it takes a few seconds before SLOWLY deciding to increase revs. Any ideas what this could be?

Thanks

The airmatic could be very expensive, or possibly just a pump- pay to have it diagnosed, and then look at your options. Autohaus AZ and a few others sell the pumps and lines on the cheap. Or all four seals could be bad.

The accelerator pedal is a very common problem at the 8 - 9 year point- it's a switch connected to the pedal that sends signals to the electronic throttle. You should have a check engine on this, throwing a p0102 code. Replacement is simple, and the switch is fairly affordable at the stealer.

Good luck....
