18" AMG wheel lug bolt dilemma...

Hello all- I was doing a bit of preventative maintenance, and while going to check my lug bolt torque I realized that the wrench in the tool kit does not fit the chrome lug bolts on the factory 18" AMG rims.

It's a 17MM wrench, so I would imagine that the bolts are 19MM. The have, however, very little side clearance. My 4-way autozone tire iron is too big to get in there. Any ideas? Did the car come with some adaptor that I no longer have? Grrr!

you have to get a thin walled socket. Check out your local parts or wheel store and they should be able to hook you up.

Someone changed your lugs.. All of the w220 factory lugs are 17mm regardless to the rim. IF the factory tool doesn't fit then those aren;t factory lugs. Maybe someone thought getting aftermarket chrome was cheaper than the OEM chrome.

THe standard OEM lug is not chrome unless the OEM wheels are chrome.

AMG uses the same lug as other OEM wheels unless they are a replica.

Is is just the pic or are your rear wheel chrome and yur fronts aren't??

...alriiiiigghhhhhttttt, guys, get ready to laugh.

They're the stock lugs, but with the factory chrome option with the sport package, covers were included on them! Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know.

Anyway, they pry off to reveal the standard bolts.
