HI Everyone im new to mbworld n I got my very first mb two weeks ago and its 2003 S430. Im loving it…
Its came with NAV, CD Player (with CD Changer), n Radio… As I browsing on these forums I found that there is way I could play DVD by unlocking command from engineering mode??? (If im not wrong)… I did found sum pdf files with step-by-step instruction for how to do them by not for my model!!!
Is there a way I could play DVD on my system?

Welcome to the forum.

As a courtesy to us, you should supply at least the continent you live on; whether your car is Euro spec of U.S. spec may affect the answer quite a bit.

Your COMAND manual will tell you whether your unit will play mp3 files burned to DVD. if you don't have the manual, see http://home.earthlink.net/~phdwebsite/comand_manual.htm to download an electronic version.

If your car is a U.S. specification vehicle, the short answer is no, you cannot play DVD video (and if memory serves me, you cannot play DVDs of any kind - but check your manual). And if it is a U.S. spec car you will not be able to make it play DVD video through the engineering (or even the "secret") menu.

Feel free to use the search tool, because this has been written up a LOT.

You could ship your COMAND to Nav-TV and have them alter it to accept DVD input from an external player. Or, you could swap it out for a Euro spec unit - but there are some obstacles there too. Search for MBENZNL and you'll find what those are.

Thank you for updating your information.

Your Canadian model is still largely the same as U.S. specification, except for the instrument cluster.
