interior door handle illumination
do the dcm's control this function?mine are intermittent and flicker just a bit for the first few miles at night and then go out.this is our first MB that we have kept outside warranty and i dont have that feeling of dread that i had allways imagined this car has allways been ultra reliable so ive decided to keep it and see just how many miles i can get out of a new generation MB.

I'm with you on the keeping the car. I think I have juuuust about decided to do the same thing. I almost own it, and it's been pretty reliable I've been thinking about holding on to mine and see how many miles I can get out of her. I'm at 123K at the moment and she's just as smooth as ever.

MY, I just noticed the 560SL added to your lineup. Hope you've checked out the C/R107 forum on the "other side" (BenzWorld) - a very active forum, and extremely helpful.

thanks for the help
They plug into the DCM's but they run off the CanBus. IF they all flicker and go out perhaps its a fuse connection. If it's an individual light, it couls be the lite itself. they are about 26 bucks at the dealer if I remember correctly. There are two part numbers 1 for the front and rear left, and one for the front and rear right.

I'm about to pick up a 79 450sl that's a little closer to driveable than the 560 so I may scrap that project all together. I just haven't updated my sig. I'm trying to thin out my projects so I won't have too much on my plate. Right now my priority is getting my boat seaworthy before the season starts which is right around the corner.....
Thanks for the heads up though..
