debadgeing
The last owner of the mercedes that I purchased was KIND enough to badge the front fenders with what he thought the car should have been but is not.It is an S500 but not a kompressor or so I'm told(thank you again)It also has V8.My question is how do you debadge without harming ther fender or paint???

Heat up the area with a hair dryer, when warm place dental floss behind the badge and slowly move it back/forth while pushing down. If any glue remains on paint, it can be easily be removed with "goo be gone" or any good cleaner.

And thanks for returning your car the the state it should be in, regalchef. There's nothing wrong with owning a standard S500. There's lots wrong with a poseur. Glad the car is in better hands now.

Most people just add AMG badging on the trunk next to S500, the previous owner here went the extra step of adding V8 Kompressor to the sides. Oh, well.
