My no sound solution

Hey guys ive noticed one of the biggest probs in the w220 is the no sound problem from command, i have a 02 430 and i had the same issue, i removed fuses and took the cdc out of the loop and nothing worked, my prob start with the no cdc warning and it never came back, the solution found out by the dealer was the teleaid box that needed to be removed from the loop, they charged me 133.00 for one hour of labor plus tax, im in the boston area so that should give you guys an idea if you should have the same problem.

that just means the old teleaid control unit failed and you opted for the cheap option of bypassing it rather than replacing it.. Not an un-common problem, sadly that's the common fix..

This is a pretty small website with pretty limited number of people who post here- you, sir, are completely out of line and, honestly, with that attitude, will not be welcome by many people here. You have three posts and have the nerve to call a contributing member a "douche"?

Those of us that are MB enthusiasts like to keep our cars completely stock, and yes, many (who can afford the rather pricy activation with Verizon) still run a secondary phone in the car. When it works, the TeleAid is a great phone system with superb voice quality and ease of use (voice activation is very strong).

I think you owe RF an apology.

First of all i posted my story becuase lots of people need to know whats wrong with their car when they get this, the search engine brings up info about the problem but many people dont follow up and share what the solution was, in the middle of trying to help inform w220 owners, some guy wants to bad mouth me because i didnt fix the teleaid that i dont use. The smug comments he made had to be addressed, and i stand behind my reply because he shouldnt have started with the negativity. Im done with this post so you laptop tough guys can say all you want. Remember that were on the web and if i was to see you in person im pretty sure his reply wouldve been different. So thank you and have a nice day!

"Laptop tough" and "if i was to see you in person im pretty sure his reply wouldve been different"?

...Are you kidding me? Where on earth do you think you are? The only thing truly worse than your threatening attitude is your embarrassing display of English grammar. Trust me, your attempts at "help" are feeble and uneducated- not too many of us are here to find solutions that involve chopping out parts of our cars. Good luck with the rest of your car- with your brand of maintenance and stellar social skills, you'll need it.
