bumpy ride

i have 03 s500, i recently took my car in to the shop because it rides very hard. Very bumpy over every little crack in the road. The tech ran a computer diagnostic and found nothing. The rear is wrost then the front but both are pretty bad. I dont have any leveling or dropping issues. Any ideals wht the problem could be?

Did you check your tires for overinflation? Just a thought.

ride control switch?

im about 8k miles from my car right now so im not sure on the exact name for the switch that controls the firmness for airmatic suspension.im sure you are aware of it,while you are driving the car depress once, notice any difference in ride quality?press again, you should definitly feel a huge difference.i cant imagine a dealer not finding a problem if their was one.i have the same car and i will say that you wont get that "plush lincoln continental ride" from the S.they are designed to be safe/handle at speed and you will feel more of the road in these cars.it should not be harsh at all in the normal ride position,in sport setting it is stiff.

Ya I've had the car since 2006. It ran fine until about six mths ago. I'm gonna have to take it in the service shop soon. Was wondering if there is bushings or stabilizers tht might be worn out and cause the car to run rough. The car is set to normal ride. I know it is somewhat of a heavy ride, but just not as smooth as it used to be. I have slot of km's on it about 180,000km.
