2003 S430
pick a rim for my 03 S430
so i decided to get rims for my 2003 S430 but i need opinions
specially about the offset because i dont wanna roll fenders or put spacers or nything
so
first picture
Offset: 35mm
Backspacing: 6.10"
Bolt Pattern: 5-112
Rec. Tire Size: 245/40-19
Weight: 32.0lbs.
second rim
Offset: 44mm
Backspacing: 6.57"
Bolt Pattern: 5-112
Rec. Tire Size: 255/35-20
Weight: 29.5lbs.
third rim
Offset: 43mm
Backspacing: 6.49"
Bolt Pattern: 5-112
Rec. Tire Size:255/35-20
Weight: 31.5lbs.
fourth rim
Offset: +45mm
Backspacing: 6.49"
Bolt Pattern: 5-112
Rec. Tire Size: 245/40-19
Weight: 25.5lbs.
i think thats it i do like the last one not sure tho
i dont wanna run in suspension problems later on so i dont know what to choose 19s or 20s and i just think 255 for front are too wide? dont you think?
this is my first time buying rims for any car so i do really need every tip and help possible
the first and last are 19s and the second and third are 20s
i do know that the offsets are 44 front and 46 back what if its a bit different like these rims all around is 44 or 45?
thank you

Benzat - what color is your S-class?
I like the third rim better but that's just my opinion. Specifically this rim:
I looked at many S-classes with 19 and 20 inch rims and decided in the end I liked the overall look of the 20's much better. You can see what 20's look like on my car (just put these on) here:
Are you thinking about going staggered? Depending on the width you should be fine. I have 20x9 in the front on 245-35-20 and 10.5 in the back on 285-30-20 without any fender bending and I don't have any issues. I believe the offset on my vossens is .42.
Good luck and congrats on your decision to get some new shoes. They really make the car!

IMO, the only wheels worth considering are 2-4. If you happen to choose number 2 go with 19's! It will look so much better. On the other hand if you go with a rim like number 4 (with a lip) a 20" inch rim would look better.

IMO, should go with number 2 19 inch. i would not go with 20's due to lower sidewall, which i had lorinser LM6 20" on mine and the ride was a little rougher, but turning with the extremely smaller sidewall, especially in small places and parking, was interesting. i have 19" now and they are great. remember that unless your car came w/ 17" you are plus sizing 2/3 which in many merceds and wheel manufacturers is not a good idea. also, depending upon the quality of the wheels, with a 20" wheel you hit a pothole, you are taking a chance of damaging the wheel. but the choice is yours. just food for thought. i know some peopel will agree and some will not. this is just my opinion from experience.

yes, they are lorinser 19" LM6 wheels. i got them off ebay for a fraction of the cost. Unless you wanna pay a small fortune for the wheels and have money to burn, you can look at wheel boutique or superbuytires. but i must warn you, these wheels are a handful to keep clean and will pick up the smallest nicks all the time by debris and rocks. but they do look good when shined and clean.
