Automatic Door Assisst??
Can anyone give me an idea of what is possibly going on with my front driver door not wanting to close automatically anymore? B4 I have to take it to the stealership and get jacked for my hard earned $$$"s... It was working fine and then all of a sudden, I got in my car the following AM and it started acting up as I got ready to drive off... I will shut the door gently and it just stays there partially open and if you push it shut it won't stay shut. So, I have to slam the door now to get it to shut but, from time to time, it will open back up slightly once I start the car and drive off as the red Door Open signal shows up on the driver console. Sometimes it will even open all the way as I hit the corners. All of the other doors are working fine. Today, I had to slam the door shut as I exited my car, sat down to breakfast and the waitress told me 10 minutes later that my trunk lid was wide open? I had not even opened my trunk for about a week up until then... Could it have something to do with the drivers door problem?? Any help anyone could give me on this would be a great help. Thanks in advance.

Take a look at the W220 S-Class Owners Start here sticky at the top of the page, and see if you don't see a reference under "Body." If you still have questions after that, please ask.

Automatic Door Assisst
Look at the sticky S-500 owners start here!! That Skylaw has posted at the top of the S-500 forum, Look under Body once inside sticky. It has alot of great info on this and alot of other problems related to this particular vehicle. Basically, I just removed the small floor light cover, in front of and at the bottom of my passenger rear seat. Once open, I removed the Yellow 20Amp Fuse. Waited for a few minutes... Replaced the fuse, replaced the light cover and then opened my driver side front door, shut it softly and it sucked back closed... Problem solved, for now... Hopefully for Good!!!
Thanx again Skylaw for the Posting... Alot of great info and threads to alot of common problems.
Good Luck..
