Squeaky Brakes......

So I just got back from an independent Mercedes repair shop and got my front and rear brakes replaced. I have started to notice again that when I reverse and come to a very slow stop that the front brakes still have a very high squeak to it. Does anyone by any chance know about this issue? I tried to find any topics but was not able to pull any up.

Thanks guys in advanced,

Alex

Did you replace pads and rotors or just pads? New pads need to be broken in with several hard stops from 30 MPH to zero. I would try doing this several times on your own, if issue not resolved take it back to your mechanic but if installed properly, the squeak will go away after a few days.

Mine do exactly the same thing. It did it for 3 months or so and it just went away. I figured it was from not having my rotors turned. I'm too lazy to pull it all apart. Haha

i have the opposite problem. had the rotors turn and put new akebono pads all around, worked great for 6 months no squeaks, very little brake dust and improved braking, now the little terds squeak or scream almost every time you come to a stop. if you sit for a while, brake pads cool ( usually a minute or two) they scream and squeak. anyone had this problem with akebono pads? i usually use EBC and no problems. i am ready to trash the pads and start over!
