Rear Brake Line Rotted?
Hello,
Indy showed me some wear on my rear brake lines while the car was up today. They pulled the spring back and I could see where it appeared to be worn. They said it was extremely dangerous to drive and that they could not tell me that if I hit the brakes real hard that the line would not pop and I would lose brakes. They said it would cost about $300 to replace the lines and $1500 to change the passenger side lower control arm. First of all, is this as serious as they have stated and second, is it a DIY? Also, does the lower control arm cost sound excessive? They should me where the rubber was worn and they kept saying it was eventually going to eat into the sub frame. Any comments are appreciated.
