I purchased a re-manuactured bose amplifier for 04 S430 and after installing I got my navigation and gps functions back. I see my radio presets and all but now. The trebble, bass, sound, fader and balance soft keys on the right of the command are darkened and i'm still getting a "no sound available" message. does the amplifier have to be programmed to or do i need to perform some kind of reset to get the sound back.

I looked in the command diagnostic menu mute+1+3 and I noticed that out of all the components listed when I looked under amplifier it said the bose amplifier was not "installed" does that mean the amplifier needs programming or does it mean it's not working at all.
