New Owner of a 2005 S430 4MATIC with few questions.
Hello All.
First of all I'm new to Mercedes. I know a lot about these vehicles, but I have been a long time BMW fan. I've decided to purchase a Mercedes, because it's a bit more comfortable. I'm a chauffeur so I figured it wouldn't hurt to try. I just bought a 2005 S430 4MATIC with 45k miles, Blk/Blk, Bi Xenon’s, Shades and AMG appearance package. I will post pictures later this week as I still want to do some outside detailing.
I have few questions... and an offer.
The right rear inside door handle LED illuminating is not working. How complicated is this to replace or repair?
The outside mirrors won't fold when vehicle is secured. Do I have to program this or is it something that is missing on this car?
The brake pedal is squeaking... This is one of the most annoying ones. Would WD40 help?
The seat belt buckles squeak as they rub against the leather. I think I have a solution for this one already, but still wondering if you guys experienced this.
The small rubbers that are on the door trim. These is kind of difficult to explain so I will take a picture of those. It's were the center window trim is. The black glossy panels that divide the side windows. There are rubber looking plastic seals on top that run horizontally. Well one of them broke off and it looks weird. How could I replace this? I'm a very picky person and the smallest details bother me a lot.
Now some offer.
Freebie! CD changer magazine for the old CD changer. Someone threw it in to the trunk and it was not from the CD changer that's in the car installed. I had to buy the new one.

Hey, welcome to the forum! For the folding mirrors, go into the dashboard options, and there is one where you can set the folding mirrors to "automatically" fold in. It may be off right now. My 2001 S55 has the folding mirrors, but it won't do it automatically, since that feature was not available on my car at the same - so I have to do it manually. I think yours should be automatic, though - although I am not 100% sure on this.
