New wheels hitting caliper
I mounted my new wheels with offset of 42 on the rear.
When I pulled out I hear a ticking sound. After inspecting I realized my rear wheel was hitting the caliper. It's bearly hitting the caliper but there none the less.
I realize I have to probably have to install spacers, here are my questions.
- where can I get good spacers?
- what type should I get?
- will spacers cause vibrations?
- how can I measure which size spacers I need?
Thanks in advance.

Well where is it hitting? On the top or in the front?
If its in the front, get some 5mm spacers.

these are good (look for used ones in the classifieds)
Hubcentric spacers like the ones above don't cause vibration.

I agree do NOT get the ones pictured, they are not hubcentric with the lip around the hub, and even though they are in the rear so you will not feel so much vibration, they are not a good idea.
get hubcentric. and just put them on the rear if the front doesnt need it

I do agree with you, but the size that he needs which is 5mm. Its so small that he won't even feel the difference. I personally had 7mm on one of my previous cars to clear the caliper and it did the job for many thousands of miles. If going with a spacer that has the studs built on to them would only be worth it if going with a high size to brind the wheels more flush to the fenders. I have 20mm spacers on with studs built on and hub centric rings but only for the look.

they do make thin hubcentric spacers, both 3mm and 5mm, example:

and they dont have separate lugs and bolts on the spacer, you just use longer bolts
Sure the universal ones will work, but the H&Rs mentioned above will be better.

Sure its not the lug studs clanking on the parking shoe spring? Mine did that. I had to order new shorter lug studs and grind them down because they were still a bit too long for my new wheels

I thought that was the case, I took the wheels off and confirmed they were hitting the rear caliper.

i had the same issue i just put on some spacers in the front. I put on the cheap ones but now my issue is that the front wheels sit out more than the rears so i have to get rears. Where did you buy your h&rs?
