driver door "close assist" inoperable

I know this is a dumb question, but is there an "easy" fix if the close assist stops working? It works on all the other doors except for the driver door ...

Pull the fuse for 20 seconds. It is under the back seat.(fuse door in the back footwell.) It is a 20 amp fuse, if I remember correctly. This will reset the system and should fix your problem. If the problem comes back, you more than liekly have a leak at the pump.

It's not uncommon for the closing assist actuator in the door to fail.

The fuse remedy will lead to a premature PSE pump failure.

Most likely, the close assist bladder in the door is leaking. It's a 500ish dollar part, but I think there are kits to repair the bladders, on bay.

Pulling the fuse every time the pump times out will fry the pump. If you're going to fix it, don't fix it low class style by pulling the fuse every time it stops working. Do it right and you won't have to worry about it for a while.
