time for new brakes :(

well its time for new brakes the dealership wanted 430 i laughed hahah! im thinking of getting the Porterfield R4S Pads. total cost bout 270 plus installation (which my friend can do free)

but my question is ne1 know where to get the Porterfield R4S Pads cheaper?

Hmmm....

I don't get it. You drive an S500 and you want to waste your time and shop around trying to save a few measly dollars?

Please help me understand.

thats the same attitude that ppl had towards me when i went around seeing if i could get my brakes/rotars done for cheaper, they all said it wasnt worth it.

DAMN!!!!!!!!!!! you think 430 is bad i just got a call they want $1400 to do my brakes! i usually dont take short cuts but $1400 for a brake job i told them to **** off!

sometimes its just the fact that you were able to get some money saved, i mean, not everyone wants to pay 500 smackers when it can be done so much cheaper some where else,

but then agian, i have no clue how much a brake set up costs so maybe it may be average price. no clue.

i'd be surprised if mercedes will install the brakes since they didnt get them for you.

i just got mine done for 740 front rear pads rotors sensors at a mercedes mechanic(not dealer) the dealer wanted 1400. they used all the same parts the dealer would have.
