Today my car is in the Mercedes shop because the mechanic who installed it told me that these headlights (HID model) do not have auto-leveling feature. I asked about this to the seller because in my country laws require auto-leveling for xenon headlight. If not, I can't install it.
The seller assures me that there is an electric servomotor inside the headlights ready to be connected. The mechanic can't find where to plug the servomotor controller and I have asked the seller to send me a connections card to check the installation.
Looks like someone does not have very clear.

It is inside and not conected on the outside. It levels itself just not as fast as the originals. But it keeps it in level.

I remember my original HID headlights move down and then up at start up.
These don't move at all whether the car is heavy loaded or not.
And then, what is the use of the connector that comes from the suspensions (I think) and should adjust the height?

Then you must have the wrong version. It is a special version for Xenon cars.

The problem in Spain is the I.T.V. (M.O.T. in english). That is, the compulsory vehicle inspection. Of course they can't realize if the auto-leveling is installed or not. This is not exactly my concern.
This law has tightened enough and now any mechanical or visual modification of the vehicle (also called 'reforms') requires a specific approval (bureaucratic process) that costs additional money. They all have to be reflected now in the card of the vehicle technical characteristics (specs sheet). So, if these projectors registration code don't include auto-leveling feature, I definitely can't install it because it's a requirement for xenon headlights.

Does anyone know the difference between the two SKU (Stock Keeping Unit) of this projectors by SONAR?
I know one of them is for cars with original HID installed like mine (PRO-YD-MBW220-HID-DRL), and the other is for cars with halogen lamps installed (PRO-YD-MBW220-DRL).
I thought both, or at least the HID type, had the auto-leveling feature.
But now I have my doubts and do not know if anyone can help.
I find nothing that is definitive on the internet and gives me the impression that the seller, as unfortunately often happens at times, is unaware of this issue.
Anything will help.
