how to remove front console cup holder in 2004 w220?
My pop-up engineering project, aka cup holder, is sticking and no longer pops up smoothly. How do I remove it?
I read on a post somewhere that it just "pulls out", but that isn't working for me.

Mine just pulls out too. Yours may have stuck due to spilled drinks/sugar. Gently keep trying. Maybe shoot some wd40 down there and see if that helps?

success. It does indeed just pull out, but it's clipped in so the pull needs to be a bit firm.
Also, the center console storage needs to be opened, at least for me, because it blocked the cupholder. I actually dislocated the passenger-side arm from the cup holder cover before I realized the solution is to open the bin. Fortunately it's a simple snap-back-in-place fix.

Now if I could just get the F-ing cup holder to be more of a cup holder.
